The main reason that more and more cities are providing at least one skatepark for their community is because it has made such an impact on some children’s lives. I know from personal experiences that you can be ticketed for skateboarding on private property, and those tickets when pilled up can cause you to get in big trouble with the law. When the city makes a public skatepark it creates an alternative area to skate rather that the towns High school, where you will surely be seeing a cop if you skate long enough. So for future reference don’t plan on skating downtown Denver due to the fact that you can and most likely will be encountering a police officer, and the fines aren’t small.
